They offer several advantages over direct stock picking such as; diversification, professional fund management, lower expenses, economies of scale, liquidity, etc. But despite all of this, very often we see investors surrounded by myths about investing in mutual funds. In a world filled with information, we do recognise that many develop their own set of beliefs and judgements. But it is vital to recognise, whether we are living in plain truth or delusions.
